There are just four days to go until Total Warrior – the ultimate test of strength, agility, stamina and will-power – commences. On Saturday 4 August, individuals, duos and teams across the UK will run, jump and crawl across a testing obstacle course, made up of fire, ice and muddy terrain.
Team Kapow and Co. are taking on Total Warrior in memory of their friend, Keith. Another team, The Aubergines - named in reference to Keith’s favourite colour, purple - are work friends of Keith and are also participating in Total Warrior to honour Keith. Led by Martin, Mark and Amy, The Aubergines are also taking part in Total Warrior on Saturday 4 August.
The teams are looking forward to the challenge they will face in just four days’ time. Team Kapow & Co. are looking forward to the challenge ahead. “Total Warrior will be absolutely brutal, but it’ll be worth it in the end for raising so much money for a great cause (Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide) that helps families in their time of need. We can’t wait to get everyone together and celebrate Keith’s life.
“Mental health issues are the biggest problem men face today, effecting more people than you probably know. We want everyone to understand that no one has to face it alone. Friends, family, even charities like CALM are just a phone call away. Talking about it makes it instantly better, you just have to take that first step.”
Their families are going to be cheering them on along the way.
Support the teams
So far, Team Kapow & Co. and The Aubergines have raised a combined total of £2,080, obliterating their original target of £500. However, you can still show your support for the groups’ fundraising in honour of their friend, Keith, by visiting their Just Giving page. Alternatively, you can choose a different method of donation here.
